 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  TROOPS OF 3 DIVISION/OPERATION SAFE HAVEN ARREST NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL RECOVER ARMS AMMUNITION AND RUSTLED CATTLE IN MANGU LGA OF PLATEAU STATE


The troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN on Operation LAFIYAN JAMA'A in Mangu LGA of Plateau State on 23 March 2025 at about 4:50pm responded to information about criminal activities around Youth Centre at Sabon Layi Axis in Mangu LGA of Plateau State. During the operation, troops made contact with a cattle rustling syndicate who had rustled 30 cows. Troops exchanged fire and overwhelmed the criminals forcing them to free. Troops exploited the general area and arrested one Nashak Wilson aged 29 years from Jwakkom Village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State armed with one AK-47 rifle loaded with 2 rounds of 7.62 mm (Special). Further exploitation led to the recovery of 30 cows rustled by the criminal syndicate.  


The recovered cows have been handed over to the owner, Alhaji Yakuba Musa from Kwahas Village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State. Meanwhile, the arrested suspect and recovered arms and ammunition are in custody for further action. Troops are on the trail of the fleeing criminals.
