 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Grief as 11 Victims of Suspected Herdsmen Attack Buried in Benue


Tears flowed in Otobi Akpa, Benue State, on Sunday as 11 victims of the April 15 suspected herdsmen attack were laid to rest in a mass burial.


The community, overwhelmed with grief, described the tragedy as unprecedented in Akpa’s history. Families who lost multiple members struggled with the trauma, as the arrival of the white caskets plunged mourners into wailing.


Security operatives at the burial were visibly moved.


Community leader, Emaikwu Ode, lamented the rising violence, recalling peaceful coexistence with Fulani herders in the past. He warned that continued attacks could spark wider conflict if not addressed.


Ode also disclosed that some residents remain missing following the attack. Of the 15 victims killed, four non-indigenes were buried in their hometowns.
