Reconstruction Work Commences on Akute-Agbado-Ijoko Road

The long-awaited reconstruction of the Akute-Agbado-Ijoko Road officially commenced on Tuesday, marking another significant milestone in the infrastructure renewal drive of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration in Ogun State.

This critical road, which serves as a major link between Lagos and Ogun States, holds immense socio-economic importance for thousands of residents, commuters, and businesses operating along its corridor. Beyond being a vital interstate border road, it connects Ifo Constituency 2 with the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, facilitating commerce, transportation, and daily commuting for a large segment of the population.

The rehabilitation of the Akute-Agbado-Ijoko Road is expected to enhance ease of movement, stimulate economic activities, and generally improve the quality of life for people living and working in the area. This project underscores the commitment of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration to prioritizing infrastructure development and addressing long-standing challenges affecting residents across Ogun State.

As work progresses, residents and commuters are optimistic that the completion of this road will bring much-needed relief and unlock further economic opportunities for the region.
