 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  The grand finale of Indian Idol 15 has crowned its winner — Manasi Ghosh

 The singing reality show, hosted by Aditya Narayan, concluded its highly competitive season with a spectacular finale, where Manasi emerged as the winner, while Shubhajit Chakraborty was declared the first runner-up. Sneha Shankar also made it to the top three.


Judged by musical heavyweights Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Badshah, the season was packed with powerful performances, emotional moments, and musical magic. Sony TV’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle announced the winner, writing, “After weeks of music, magic, and moments — Manasi didn’t just win a title, she won a million hearts.”


Reacting to her win, an emotional Manasi said, “Abhi bhi mere ko hit nahi kiya hai ki maine yeh trophy jeeta hai. I’m blessed and grateful to get so much love from everyone. There’s a lot going on in my head. I am really overwhelmed. Thank you so much.”


Nicknamed the “Idol ki crazy girl,” Manasi won over both the judges and viewers with her energetic and soulful performances throughout the season. Along with the coveted trophy, she also took home a brand-new car and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh.
