KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized.  FCT Police Deny Sealing PDP Secretariat Amid Tensions Over Blocked Meetings

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted claims that it sealed off the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national headquarters in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, on Monday, amid allegations of police interference in the party’s scheduled meetings.

Ibrahim Tsauri, a PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) member and former National Secretary, told journalists that police operatives barred BoT members from accessing the party’s Wadata Plaza secretariat, where a meeting was set to take place. Tsauri claimed the police cited “orders from above” and prohibited any meetings on the premises, escalating tensions ahead of the PDP’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

However, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, dismissed the allegations in a statement, describing them as “false, misleading, and not reflective of the true situation on ground.” Adeh clarified that police were deployed to the area solely to maintain law and order, in line with their constitutional duty to ensure public safety. “At no time was the secretariat sealed off by the police,” she stated.

The Commissioner of Police, FCT, urged media outlets to verify information through the command’s public relations office before reporting. The incident has heightened political friction, with the PDP accusing authorities of obstructing its activities as it prepares for critical internal deliberations.
