Family and neighbors mourn woman shot by ICE agent after making Minneapolis her home  Before she was fatally shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, 37-year-old Renee Good had just dropped her youngest child off at an elementary school in Minneapolis, the city she and her family had recently begun to call home. As Trump administration officials continued Thursday to describe Good as a domestic terrorist who tried to ram federal agents with her Honda Pilot, those who knew her remembered someone very different: a gentle, kind, and openhearted mother, wife, and neighbor. Good, her wife and her 6-year-old son had recently moved from Kansas City, Missouri, to a quiet Minneapolis neighborhood lined with older homes and small apartment buildings. Some front porches were still decorated with pride flags and lingering holiday lights. In the days following her death, neighbors grew weary of media attention.  God told me if I leave RCCG, my firstborn will die — Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has revealed a divine warning that his firstborn would die if he ever leaves the RCCG. The disclosure came during the June Holy Ghost Service, themed “Destined for Greatness (Part 2),” held at midnight on Saturday at Redemption City of God, Ogun State.

Speaking on the importance of divine guidance, Adeboye referenced a sermon by his son, Pastor Leke Adeboye, and expressed concern over young Christians frequently switching churches, often identifying as first-timers in new congregations. He recounted his early days as a born-again Christian when three prominent ministries were thriving, tempting him to join them. However, he said God instructed him to remain with RCCG, then a lesser-known denomination with a modest headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

“God said to me, ‘Son, I brought you here. This is where you will stay. The day you leave this denomination, your firstborn will die,’” Adeboye told the congregation. Despite being a university lecturer, he was divinely directed to submit to his spiritual father, who lacked formal education, and stay with RCCG.

Adeboye urged attendees, particularly youths, to seek and remain in the place God has chosen for them, emphasizing, “Discover where God wants you to stay, and stay there.” He clarified that his remarks were not a claim of RCCG’s superiority over other denominations, stating, “I am not saying we are better than any other denomination.”

The service, attended by thousands, underscored Adeboye’s call for spiritual consistency and obedience to divine direction.
