 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Gov. Uba Sani Appoints Barr. Naymarie Musa-Akande As MD/CEO Of Kaduna Industrial And Finance Company


The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator (Dr) Uba Sani (CON), has appointed Barrister Naymarie Musa-Akande as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna Industrial and Finance Company Limited (KIFC).


Barrister Naymarie Musa-Akande, a seasoned legal practitioner, public servant, and politician, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. 


She previously served as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Woman Leader in Kaduna State and held several advisory roles in the Kaduna State Government. From Special Assistant on Legal and Political Matters to Technical Assistant to the Governor, she has contributed significantly to the state’s governance architecture.


Her legal expertise spans civil and commercial litigation, corporate transactions, and international legal support, having handled cases in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom. A holder of an LLB, BL, MSc in International Development, and currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Strategic Studies at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Musa-Akande is expected to drive innovation and sustainable growth at KIFC.


Governor Uba Sani, while congratulating her and other appointees, urged them to be “adaptive, innovative, and competitive” in carrying out their duties, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to Kaduna State’s economic revitalization.


Other Appointments Announced


In the same announcement, the Governor named three other key appointments:


Ahmed Shehu Haruna as Acting Managing Director, Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company. A distinguished financial consultant and chartered accountant, Haruna is currently the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Matters. His past experience includes a notable tenure at KPMG and international consultancy roles.


Ibrahim Abdulkarim Adamu as Managing Director, Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Authority. A veteran public administrator and financial expert, Adamu formerly served as MD of Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company.


Ibrahim Yusuf as Managing Director, Kaduna Ranch Development Company Limited. A dairy and livestock specialist with a decade of field experience, Yusuf has led high-impact agricultural projects aimed at resolving farmer-herder conflicts and boosting productivity in the livestock sector.


The appointments are part of the state government’s broader effort to restructure and rejuvenate its economic institutions, ensuring they deliver on their mandates to the benefit of the citizens.


Governor Uba Sani concluded by praying for God's guidance for the new appointees as they embark on their respective assignments.
