 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  NIGERIAN RAILWAY CORPORATION COMMENCES DAILY TRAIN SERVICES IN JOS

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the commencement of daily passenger train services along the Jos–Bukuru corridor, starting Monday, July 14, 2025.


The long-anticipated service will operate four daily trips between the Bukuru Station and Jos Terminus, with scheduled stops at Old Airport and Dogon Karfe stations. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve urban mobility and enhance public transportation within Plateau State.


According to the schedule released by the NRC, the first trip departs Bukuru at 6:50 a.m., stopping at Old Airport at 7:08 a.m., Dogon Karfe at 7:16 a.m., and arriving at Jos Terminus by 7:26 a.m. The return trip from Jos begins at 9:20 a.m., with the final evening departure scheduled for 4:20 p.m. from Jos Terminus to Bukuru.


The full timetable includes:


First Trip (Morning): Bukuru to Jos – 6:50 a.m.


Second Trip (Mid-Morning): Jos to Bukuru – 9:20 a.m.


Third Trip (Late Morning): Bukuru to Jos – 10:36 a.m.


Fourth Trip (Evening): Jos to Bukuru – 4:20 p.m.


Commuters are advised to be at their departure stations at least 10 minutes before takeoff.


The NRC, in collaboration with the Plateau State Ministry of Transport, says the service will offer safe, reliable, and efficient rail transport, easing road congestion and reducing travel time for residents and visitors.
