 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. Local residents observed an influx of the scrap buyers into various areas of the Benue State capital, raising questions and concerns about the sudden movement. Sources indicate that the relocation was part of a broader clean-up operation in Abuja targeting informal businesses considered to be contributing to urban congestion and environmental concerns.


Majority of the displaced dealers have now found their way to Makurdi, setting up temporary locations to continue their trade in recyclable metals and other scrap materials.


 Their arrival has sparked mixed reactions, with some residents expressing worries about potential security and sanitation challenges, while others see it as an opportunity to boost local recycling and employment.
