Drug Dealer’s Bail: Kano Governor Dismisses Two Aides

The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has dismissed Abubakar Umar Sharada, Special Assistant on Political Development, for his involvement in securing bail for a drug dealer, Suleman Danwawu.

Similarly, the governor has terminated the appointment of Tasiu Adamu Al’amin Roba, Special Assistant in the Executive Council Office, after he was found guilty of diverting and reselling relief grains in 2024.

They were ordered to hand over all government property in their possession before August 11, with a warning never to present themselves again as government officials.

This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Alhaji Umar Faruk.

On the other hand, the government cleared Musa Ado Tsamiya, Special Adviser to the Governor on Waterways, after an investigative committee confirmed he had no case to answer.

Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to enforcing the law and fighting corruption, while cautioning government officials to uphold integrity in both their duties and personal lives.
