 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has felicitated with distinguished Senator and former Governor, Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige, CON, as he celebrates his birthday today.


In his congratulatory remarks, Governor Soludo lauded Senator Ngige, a medical doctor turned politician, as a leader who rendered good services to Anambra State and Nigeria through his various roles in public service. 


He served as Governor of Anambra State from May 2003 to March 2006, during which he initiated development programmes that benefited the people of Anambra State 


Thus, Governor Soludo warmly congratulate Senator Chris Ngige on this special occasion of his birthday and also prays that he enjoys many more years of life in robust health and in continuous service to humanity

In his goodwill message, Governor Soludo commended Chief Obiano, who served as the Governor of Anambra State from March 17, 2014, to March 17, 2022, as a worthy predecessor who made significant impact on the socio-economic progression of our dear state and the people of Anambra State 


On this special occasion, Governor Soludo warmly celebrates Chief Willie Obiano on attaining this significant milestone of 70 years, and also wishes him continued good health, happiness, and many more years of celebration and service to humanity.
