Lions' Morice Norris shares positive update after ambulance removal from field

Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris reassured fans on Saturday that he is doing well after being taken off the field in an ambulance during a preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons. Norris shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram story, expressing gratitude for the support and including a Bible verse. “Amen Amen,” he wrote, adding, “I'm all good man don't stress,” thanking everyone for their check-ins.

The 24-year-old was injured late in the game following a collision with Falcons running back Nathan Carter. Norris’s head snapped back after the hit, leading to a lengthy on-field medical evaluation before he was transported to a hospital in Atlanta in stable condition. The incident prompted the game’s early suspension with the Lions leading 17-10. Both coaches, Dan Campbell of Detroit and Raheem Morris of Atlanta, agreed it was the right decision not to finish the game, emphasizing respect and concern for player safety. Norris, an undrafted rookie from Fresno State, appeared in eight games last season, and the injury serves as a reminder of the risks players face on the field, echoing past NFL incidents where games were halted due to serious injuries.
