 Somali PM calls on Somaliland to cut Israel ties, urges reconciliation Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has called on Somaliland’s leadership to cut ties with Israel and to resolve disputes with the federal government through dialogue. Barre said relations among Somalis should be addressed through talks rather than confrontation, in remarks during a ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the establishment of North East State. In December 2025, Israel announced mutual recognition with Somaliland, a move strongly rejected by the Somali government as a breach of its sovereignty and territorial integrity and criticised by many countries across the world. “Regarding our brothers in Somaliland, I have nothing new to say.  ADC has over 100 senators, about 400 Reps – Dino Melaye


Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye has calimed that the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has more senators and House of Representatives members.


Melaye disclosed that the ADC now has over 100 Senators, both former and serving, and about 400 members of the House of Representatives, both serving and former.


In an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Melaye said the ADC is fast becoming a political force with the party witnessing more former state governors.


The Kogi State-born politician vowed that the ADC will unseat the President Bola Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027.


“As I speak, we have over 100 Senators, both former and serving, who are members of the ADC.


“We have close to 400 members of the House of Representatives, former and serving, who are members of the ADC,” he said.
