 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. ANAMBRA SECURITY: POLICE COMMAND DISPELS MALICIOUS VIDEO ALLEGING OFFICER’S INVOLVEMENT IN CRIME


The Anambra State Police Command is aware of a malicious video currently trending on social media, alleging that a Police Officer is aiding kidnapping and violent crimes in the State.


The Command categorically states that the video is not only false, mischievous, and malicious, but also a calculated attempt to tarnish the image of the Nigeria Police Force and demonize the said officer.


For the avoidance of doubt, the officer featured in the video is an Assistant Commissioner of Police who is not serving in the Anambra State Police Command. The officer remains one of the pride of the Force in character and crime-fighting.


We urge the public to note that, compared to the past, Anambra State has continued to record remarkable progress in the fight against violent crimes, particularly kidnapping. This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of Ndi Anambra working hand-in-hand with security agencies to condemn and resist criminal activities in the State.


The sacrifices of our security operatives in safeguarding lives and property are not in vain. We therefore call on the general public to disregard the misleading video and remain resolute in supporting lawful security efforts.


Meanwhile, the Command shall invoke the relevant Cybercrime Laws to ensure that the originators of this malicious content does not go unpunished.
