 ‘I’ll turn off the mic’ — Remi Tinubu reins in Adeleke’s singing at Ooni’s anniversary First Lady Oluremi Tinubu cautioned Ademola Adeleke, the Osun state governor, for prolonged singing during his remarks at the 10th coronation anniversary celebration of Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife. The moment, captured in a now-viral video, occurred as the governor mounted the podium on Sunday to pay tribute to the monarch and to congratulate the Remi on her newly bestowed chieftaincy title, Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua. Rather than proceed immediately with his formal message, Adeleke, popularly known as the “Dancing Governor” for his spirited public appearances, burst into a short musical chant, drawing laughter from parts of the audience.  DR ARASE WAS AN INSTITUTION IN HIMSELF, A RARE BLEND OF INTELLECT, DISCIPLINE, AND HUMANITY - IGP EGBETOKUN


The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has paid tribute to the late Inspector-General of Police and former Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Dr. Solomon Ehigiator Arase, Ph.D., NPM, FDC, CFR, describing his passing as “a loss that rests heavily, not only on his family, but on the Nigeria Police Force and the nation at large.”


The IGP gave this tribute on Wednesday, 24th September 2025, at the Day of Tributes in Celebration of the Life and Times of Late IGP Solomon Ehigiator Arase (Rtd), an event organised to honour the remarkable life, career, and contributions of the 18th indigenous Inspector-General of Police.


Reflecting on the life and career of the late IGP, Dr. Arase, IGP Egbetokun eulogised him as more than a police officer, but “an institution in himself, a rare blend of intellect, discipline, and humanity”. He recalled that from the moment Dr. Arase joined the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP in 1981, his career became “a lesson in resilience, excellence, and duty. Moving through the ranks with quiet confidence, inspired not merely by ambition but by a genuine desire to leave the organisation better than he met it”. Dr. Arase rose to become the 18th indigenous Inspector-General of Police in 2015.


Present at the event were notable dignitaries including the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa; former Governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole; former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah; former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; as well as former Inspectors-General of Police: Sunday Ehindero, Mike Mbama Okiro, Ogbonna Okechukwu Onovo, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar, Suleiman Abba, and Usman Alkali Baba, alongside several other eminent personalities, colleagues, and well-wishers who gathered to honour the late IGP’s remarkable legacy.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
