Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items  A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation. The dispute centered on roughly 150 personal items, including clothing, accessories, and stage pieces such as dresses, shoes, scarves, earrings, and handbags.  HEADQUARTERS 3 DIVISION COMMITS TO STRENGTHENING COLLABORATION WITH FRSC

In a pivotal move to enhance road safety and minimize traffic-related fatalities, 3 Division has pledged its unwavering support to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). This commitment was made during a courtesy visit by the newly appointed Sector Commander of the FRSC, Corps Commander OE Mogaji, to Major General EF Oyinlola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division and Commander of Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP). The event, held on September 23, 2025, at Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, highlighted the critical importance of inter-agency collaboration in safeguarding lives on the roads within the Division's area of responsibility.

In his remarks, Major General Oyinlola emphasized the vital role that road safety plays in national stability and economic prosperity. "We recognize and deeply appreciate the critical role the FRSC plays in national security. Your mandate to ensure safety on our roads is not just a transportation issue; it is a fundamental component of national stability, economic prosperity, and the overall well-being of our citizens," he affirmed. This statement underlines the necessity of a cohesive approach to road safety administration, particularly in a region beset with varying security challenges.

Corps Commander Mogaji commended the military for its proactive measures in addressing security issues across Plateau State. He acknowledged that many of the FRSC's policies and operational procedures were inspired by the Army's structured approach to duties. Mogaji also underscored the importance of personal accountability, urging military personnel to prioritize their safety while driving. "Road Traffic Accidents (RTA) have no respect for rank or position," he cautioned.

Highlighting the multi-faceted responsibilities of the FRSC, Mogaji detailed various initiatives, including safety inspections of fuel tankers, public awareness campaigns on road dangers, and free quarterly vehicle safety checks. He called for an enduring partnership with 3 Division, emphasizing the need for collaboration in intelligence sharing and the training of military drivers on road safety protocols. Furthermore, he brought attention to the rising insecurity in motor parks, requesting the GOC’s intervention to foster safer environments in these areas.

In response, Major General Oyinlola expressed a commitment to maintaining and enhancing the partnership between the two agencies. He welcomed the notion of FRSC officials acting as vital sensors on the highways, capable of reporting suspicious activities that could threaten the stability of the region. "Timely reporting of movements and gatherings serves as an early warning system, enabling us to respond effectively to security threats," he noted. The GOC reiterated the significant connection between road safety and the operational effectiveness of Operation ENDURING PEACE, explaining that well-maintained roads and efficient traffic management are essential enablers for the military's rapid deployment capabilities. He directed for immediate action to address the security threats at the various motor parks in the state while welcoming the intelligence sharing and capacity development of NA drivers.

The visit concluded with the exchange of souvenirs, signing of visitors' books, and a group photograph, symbolizing the ongoing collaboration between the Nigerian Army and the FRSC. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to work together for the betterment of road safety and public security.
