 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  TROOPS RESCUE 17 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN KOGI STATE


In its sustained effort to to stem the tide of banditry and other criminal activities in Kogi State, the gallant troops of 12 Brigade Nigerian Army  with Hybrid Forces and Local Vigilantes have successfully rescued 17 kidnapped victims, including 4 children.

12 Brigade Nigerian Army, says the troops on Wednesday 10th September, 2025 on a Patrol Base at Apata received a credible intelligence of a kidnap incident at Opamaru Village along Obajana–Lokoja Road. The victims who were travelling in a 17-seater bus from Osun State and headed for Abuja, were kidnapped by the criminals. Without delay, the patrol base reinforced by the Brigade Quick Response Group (QRG), immediately mobilized to the scene.


On arrival, the troops discovered a 17-seater bus abandoned by the roadside, completely empty. Employing field craft, the soldiers swiftly trailed the kidnappers to Wuro Village in Adavi Local Government Area, where the troops came in contact with the criminals.


Overpowered by the troops’ superior firepower, the criminals abandoned all 17 kidnapped passengers and fled into the bush with various degrees of gunshot injuries. The rescued victims were immediately evacuated to the 12 Brigade Medical Centre for first aid and stabilization.


It adds, the Nigerian Army has reassured the general public of its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while urging citizens to continue to support the military with timely information to aid ongoing operations.
