 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. KANO POLICE COMMAND RECOVERS STOLEN TOYOTA HILUX MOTOR VEHICLE, ARRESTS SUSPECT


The Kano State Police Command is pleased to announce the successful recovery of a stolen vehicle and the arrest of a suspect in connection with the crime. This achievement is a result of the Command's proactive measures and relentless efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety of lives and property in the State.


2.  On 29th September 2025, a report was received from the owner of a Toyota Hilux vehicle with registration number GWA 998 AR, which had been stolen from Ikeja Road, Fagge LGA, Kano State. The Police operatives attached to the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) swung into action and, through intelligence-led technical operation along Airport Road, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State, arrested one Adama Hassan, a 35-year-old female suspect of Deba LGA,  Gombe State, on 6th October 2025, while attempting to conceal the stolen vehicle en route to Niger Republic.


3.  The suspect has confessed to receiving the vehicle from a male suspect from Lafiyan Lamurde LGA, Adamawa State, who is currently on the run. The Police are intensifying efforts to apprehend the suspect at and recover more exhibits.


4.  The Kano State Police Command commends the efforts of the officers involved in this operation and appreciates the support of the public in providing valuable information that led to this achievement.
