NAFDAC Warns Of Fake Toothpaste Circulating In Kaduna, Orders Nationwide Crackdown The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has alerted Nigerians about the circulation of suspected counterfeit toothpaste in Kaduna State, raising concerns over consumer safety and public health. According to the agency, the fake products are designed to imitate popular Colgate toothpaste, potentially deceiving buyers into believing they are genuine. The discovery followed a complaint received by NAFDAC’s Post-Marketing Surveillance team, which prompted an investigation. During inspections, officials found two suspected fake products labeled “Coglaet ActivGel 100g” and “Coglaet Herbal 100g” being sold at a local shop.  The retailer reportedly could not provide proof of purchase, claiming the items were supplied by a door-to-door distributor.  A fourth The Mummy film reportedly in development

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are reportedly set to reprise their roles in a fourth installment of the "The Mummy" franchise.

While plot details remain under wraps, Radio Silence Productions — the horror filmmaking collective behind 2019’s horror-comedy "Ready or Not" and 2023’s revival of the "Scream" franchise — is said to be directing. Universal Pictures has not confirmed the reports.

Fraser, an Academy Award-winning actor for "The Whale," and Weisz, who recently appeared in Marvel’s "Black Widow," would return as Rick and Evelyn O’Connell, the adventurous couple from the first two films. Both actors have previously expressed enthusiasm for revisiting the roles, describing the experience as fun and charming.

The original trilogy includes "The Mummy" (1999), "The Mummy Returns" (2001), and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" (2008), collectively grossing more than $460 million. The first film, which follows 1920s treasure hunters who accidentally unleash an ancient curse, was rereleased in 2024, earning an additional $1.56 million.

This announcement comes eight years after Universal attempted to revive the franchise with a 2017 reboot starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, and Russell Crowe, which underperformed at the box office, grossing $410 million worldwide.

The franchise also includes the spin-off prequel series "The Scorpion King," starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, which has four films. No further details about the new installment’s story or production schedule have been revealed.
