Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence.  A fourth The Mummy film reportedly in development

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are reportedly set to reprise their roles in a fourth installment of the "The Mummy" franchise.

While plot details remain under wraps, Radio Silence Productions — the horror filmmaking collective behind 2019’s horror-comedy "Ready or Not" and 2023’s revival of the "Scream" franchise — is said to be directing. Universal Pictures has not confirmed the reports.

Fraser, an Academy Award-winning actor for "The Whale," and Weisz, who recently appeared in Marvel’s "Black Widow," would return as Rick and Evelyn O’Connell, the adventurous couple from the first two films. Both actors have previously expressed enthusiasm for revisiting the roles, describing the experience as fun and charming.

The original trilogy includes "The Mummy" (1999), "The Mummy Returns" (2001), and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" (2008), collectively grossing more than $460 million. The first film, which follows 1920s treasure hunters who accidentally unleash an ancient curse, was rereleased in 2024, earning an additional $1.56 million.

This announcement comes eight years after Universal attempted to revive the franchise with a 2017 reboot starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, and Russell Crowe, which underperformed at the box office, grossing $410 million worldwide.

The franchise also includes the spin-off prequel series "The Scorpion King," starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, which has four films. No further details about the new installment’s story or production schedule have been revealed.
