 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers in Stranger Things, recently shared in an exclusive interview that he was deeply touched while reading a key scene from season 5's Volume 2. 

In this emotional moment from the penultimate episode, Will opens up about his feelings and identity to his family and friends in a heartfelt conversation.


Schnapp said he "cried reading" the script and praised the Duffer brothers for writing it "so perfectly." He admitted feeling nervous about how the scene would play out, especially the warm group hug from characters like Jonathan, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Eleven that follows. However, he shared that filming made it feel natural and genuine.


The actor highlighted how meaningful this storyline is, noting the support from fans and how it could resonate with young people going through similar experiences. He expressed gratitude for the thoughtful way the scene was handled, which ties into Will's personal growth and journey in the final season. Volumes 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix, with the series finale arriving on December 31.
