Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. KATY PERRY SLAMMED FOR 'GRIM' AND 'TRULY EVIL' RESPONSE TO FAN WHO SAID THEY 'DON'T WANT TO BE HERE ANYMORE'. (PHOTO).

Katy Perry slammed for 'grim' and 'truly evil' response to fan who said they 'don't want to be here anymore'

Katy Perry is facing backlash after responding to a distressed fan on social media. On March 10, a user posted a photo of Perry looking sad alongside a message about struggling financially and feeling hopeless, even considering selling their concert ticket.

Perry replied, “But I am looking forward to seeing you!” The response was quickly criticized by many online, who felt it came across as dismissive and out of touch given the fan’s vulnerable post.

Fans on X accused the pop star of being insensitive, with some suggesting she should have offered more compassion or even a free ticket. Comments ranged from calling her reply “grim” and “gross” to labeling her “out of touch” and “greedy.”

The incident sparked debate about how celebrities should engage with fans who share personal struggles, especially when those messages highlight mental health or financial hardship.

The controversy comes as Perry faces another public setback: losing a long-running trademark battle against Australian designer Katie Perry Taylor.

The High Court of Australia ruled that Taylor can continue selling clothing under her own name, ending a dispute that began in 2008 when Perry sued over the “Katie Perry” label.

Taylor described the ruling as surreal, saying it felt “like a dream” after years of legal battles.
