Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS LANDS EARLY PRISON RELEASE AS HE FIGHTS TO APPEAL 4-YEAR SENTENCE. (PHOTO).

Sean 'Diddy' Combs lands early prison release as he fights to appeal 4-year sentence

Sean “Diddy” Combs will be released from prison earlier than expected, with his new date set for April 25, 2028 about six weeks ahead of the original June 4 release.

The change comes after his acceptance into a federal drug‑abuse rehabilitation program, which can shorten sentences for inmates who complete it.

His representatives have emphasized that he has taken the program seriously, remaining focused on growth and rehabilitation.

This adjustment follows previous changes to his sentence. In November 2025, his release date was pushed back after reports that he violated prison rules, including consuming homemade alcohol and participating in a prohibited three‑way phone call.

His team defended the phone call as protected under attorney‑client privilege, but prison officials disagreed.

Despite these setbacks, Combs has continued to pursue an appeal of his four‑year sentence, arguing that prosecutors failed to prove their case and that the judge imposed an unconstitutionally harsh punishment.

Combs has been incarcerated since September 2024 after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, though he was acquitted of other charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

His legal team is seeking either a reversal of the conviction or a reduced sentence, while prosecutors have opposed the appeal.

The early release date reflects his progress in rehabilitation but does not resolve the broader legal battle he is still fighting.
