Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London.  APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN DONATES ₦100M RELIEF MATERIALS TO PLATEAU ATTACK VICTIMS

Apostle Joshua Selman has donated relief materials worth over ₦100 million to victims of recent attacks in Plateau State, offering support amid ongoing recovery efforts. The gesture, described as both humanitarian and symbolic, comes as concerns persist over security and rebuilding affected communities.

Plateau State has witnessed recurring violent attacks in recent times, leaving several communities displaced and families in distress. Government and humanitarian groups have continued to seek ways to provide relief and restore stability.

Selman made the donation during a visit to Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Old Government House in Rayfield, Jos.

The intervention includes a truckload of 3,000 bags of rice and cooking oil, alongside financial assistance targeted at affected families.

Accompanied by Pastor John Kennedy and Bestman Uwadia, the cleric said the visit was aimed at identifying with grieving communities and supporting ongoing recovery efforts.

He noted that discussions were held with the state government on security and livelihood concerns.

Governor Mutfwang described the donation as timely and compassionate, noting that it reflects unity and shared responsibility across religious and social lines.

Selman, meanwhile, urged residents to remain hopeful, stressing that collective efforts are needed to rebuild.

As Plateau continues to grapple with the aftermath of the attacks, the donation raises broader questions about long-term security and sustained support. For many affected families, however, the immediate concern remains survival and gestures like this offer a measure of relief.
