 NAF INTENSIFIES AIRPOWER CAMPAIGN, STRENGTHENS AIR PRESENCE IN SOKOTO TO DENY TERRORISTS FREEDOM OF ACTION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airpower campaign against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West, with a strengthened air presence in Sokoto State to support ongoing joint security operations. The initiative reflects the Service’s determination to sustain pressure on hostile elements, enhance aerial surveillance and maintain the capacity for rapid response to emerging threats, while providing effective air support to ground forces operating within the Joint Operations Area. The strengthened air presence is particularly significant in the fight against asymmetric threats, where terrorists and bandits exploit difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground forces.  EASTER: LAWMA INTENSIFIES OPERATIONS, URGES PROPER WASTE DISPOSAL TO PREVENT FLOODING



The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has intensified operational activities across the state ahead of the Easter celebrations as it calls on residents to adopt proper waste disposal practices to sustain environmental cleanliness, and prevent flooding.


The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin made this known at the Authority’s headquarters on Thursday.


 He said that the Authority had strengthened waste evacuation arrangements across the metropolis, with additional monitoring and operational support to ensure prompt service delivery during the festive period.


He noted that festive seasons typically witness increased waste generation, making it necessary for both service providers and residents to play their respective roles in maintaining a clean environment.


Dr. Gbadegesin urged residents to embrace simple waste reduction habits such as avoiding unnecessary purchases, reusing materials where possible, and separating recyclable items from general waste.


He explained that LAWMA had also positioned personnel and equipment at critical locations such as markets, motor parks, and high-traffic commercial areas to ensure effective waste collection throughout the period.


He added that the Authority was working closely with licensed Private Sector Participant (PSP) operators to sustain regular domestic waste evacuation and respond promptly to service gaps where necessary.


He further advised residents to desist from indiscriminate dumping of refuse in drainage channels, road medians, and open spaces, warning that such practices could obstruct free flow of storm water as the rainy season approaches.


According to him, maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility requiring cooperation between government, service providers, and residents.


Dr. Gbadegesin reassured Lagosians of LAWMA’s continued commitment to improving service delivery through operational efficiency, infrastructure upgrades, and sustained public enlightenment.


He encouraged residents to report waste management issues through LAWMA’s customer care line 07080601020 and social media handles for prompt attention.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
