 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8. He said despite being originally from Palestine, the ‘We De Best Music’ boss is silent over the killing of his people. He said DJ Khaled flaunts his luxurious lifestyle on social media but cannot use his influence to speak against the genocide against Palestinian women and children. Speaking in a video message shared via his Instagram account, Kuti said, “DJ Khaled is from Palestine. This man has not said one word about the killing of his people.  It was hard to leave a married man I once dated – Kiitan Bukola Actress Kiitan Bukola has revealed that she once dated a married man, saying that exiting the relationship was a difficult thing for her.  She said that she found it hard to leave because of the benefits she was getting in the relationship.  Burna Boy taking his beef with Davido too far – Singer Joe El Nigerian singer Joe El Amadi has waded into the rift between his colleagues, Davido and Burna Boy. He described Burna Boy as a “younger version” of controversial veteran singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, saying he is taking his beef with Davido “too far.” Speaking in the latest episode of the ‘Real Ish” podcast, Joe El opined that Davido is “a loving guy.” He said, “Burna Boy is the younger version of how Eedris Abdulkareem used to operate before. This Davido and Burna Boy’s beef, I think Burna is taking it too far.  'Abure’s tenure has expired’ — LP BoT says it has taken over affairs of party    The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Labour Party (LP) says it has taken over the affairs of the party. S.O.Z. Ejiofor, chairman of the BoT, in a statement on Wednesday, said the decision was taken to prevent a leadership vacuum in the party. However, a national convention of the party took place in Anambra state on Wednesday, which saw Julius Abure re-elected as chairman of the party. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it did not monitor the LP’s national convention. The electoral umpire is yet to say why. “Following the expiration of the tenure in office of the immediate past National Working Committee of the Labour Party headed by Mr. Julius Abure, the Board of Trustees of the Labour Party, in line with the Labour Party Constitution, has stepped in to steer the affairs of the Labour Party,” the statement reads. “This step is to avoid any leadership vacuum in the L...
