 GOVERNOR ABBA KABIR YUSUF ATTRIBUTES RELATIVE PEACE IN KANO TO IMPROVED SYNERGY AMONG SECURITY AGENCIES The relative peace and tranquility being experienced across Kano State is majorly due to the joint efforts of all the security agencies in the State. The troops of 455 Base Services Group (BSG), Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Kano have been part of this success story, having been serving as part of the security Joint Task Force operating in the State.  Abia murder suspect flees police custody, grieving family seeks justice The grieving family of Mazi Ezuma Ukwu, whose teenage son, Chinedu, was said to have been fatally stabbed on April 3, 2024, in the Arochukwu area of Abia State by three suspected members of a cult group, has expressed concern over the suspect’s escape from police custody. The bereaved family of the 18-year-old boy, who was brutally killed for refusing to be inducted into the cult group, told our correspondent that they needed assistance from the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to bring his alleged killers to justice.  Rivers crisis: Abe, Wike settle long-standing feud The protracted political feud between former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and Senator Magnus Abe may now be a thing of the past, following the latter’s statement that he has ‘made peace’ with the former.  Lagos uncovers another illegal settlement under a bridge in Ikoyi The Lagos State Government says it has discovered another illegal settlement under the Osborne Bridge in Ikoyi area of the State. This is coming less than three days after the government uncovered 86 rooms under the Dolphin Bridge where tenants paid N250,000 rent annually. Commissioner for the Environment, Tokunbo Wahab disclosed this on his X handle on Thursday. He said the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), popularly known as Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) had begun immediate clearance operation. “Another illegal settlement was discovered under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi.
