 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. BOMBER ARRESTED IN TODAY'S BOMBLAST IN KANO STATE.

                According to sources,there was a bomblast around 2pm that exploded inside the school of Hygiene BUK road,Kano state.The suspected bomber in connection with the explosion was arrested.The bomb blast killed eight people and 12 others injured.Mr Aderenle Shinaba,Kano state Commissioner of policesaid ''The suspect is in our custody,and the vehicle he used for the operation has also been towed to the police headquarters.We will get to know the motive behind the attack,and who sent him on this deadly errand''.The explosion happened right inside the school compound that is why we had to move in.I want to confirm to you that 20 people were moved to the hospital but eight were confirmed dead and 12 others injured''.
