Alleged Graft: ICPC Confirms Nasir El-rufai’s Arrest After His Release From EFCC Custody PRESS RELEASE  The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) writes to state  that Malam Nasiru El-Rufai the former Governor of Kaduna state is in our custody as at close of work, Wednesday the 18th day of February, 2026.   Malam Nasiru El-Rufai is in the  custody of the Commission in connection with investigations.  J. THE LEG OF A LAWMA WORKER FUNKE WAS AMPUTATED,AFTER A BUS DRIVER CHINEDU KNOCKED HER DOWN AT IGANDO.

                  38 year old Obi Chinedu a public bus driver,has been arrested and charged before Ejigbo Magistrate for allegedly knocking down a staff of Lagos State Waste Management Authority,LAWMA,which led to the amputation of her leg in a hospital in Lagos state.The incident happened at Cele bus stop along Isheri-Igando expressway where the victim Mrs Funke Olorunda was on official duty.She was rushed to Igando General Hospital where she was referred to the National Orthopedic Hospital in Igobi Lagos.Due to the seriousness of the injury she sustained,her left leg was amputated to save her life.She is now walking with one leg with the aid of a walking stick.The bus driver was arrested and detained at the police station in Idimu Division before he was charged to court with driving in a dangerous manner and knocking down Funke which caused amputation of her leg.Chinedu,through his counsel,informed the court about his regrets concerning the accident and expressed his willingness to settle the matter out of court and treat the victim.The presiding Magistrate,Mrs J.O.E Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.Chinedu was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when he will perfect his bail condition.The case was adjourned till 6th of September,2015.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
