 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. SENATE PASSED THE BUDGET BENCHMARKS FOR 2018-2020,TODAY.{PHOTO}

    Today at the Nigerian Senate, we passed the budget benchmarks for the 2018-2020 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) in accordance with the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2007.
We also approved the following benchmarks:
- N2.3 million barrels per day; 
- $47 barrel per day as benchmark price of 2018; 
- Exchange rate of N305 to $1; 
- N5.279 trillion for non-revenue oil in 2018; 
- N1.6999 trillion for new borrowing for 2018; and 
- An estimated 3.5% growth rate.
It is our hope that all the relevant revenue generating agencies will meet their targets.In the areas of the oil and gas sector, the Ministry of Petroleum and the NNPC must work to ensure that the benchmark for production that we passed must be met.
