   Rivers State Police Arrest 'Veryblackman' Over Alleged Death Threats to Comedian DeeOne The Rivers State Police Command has arrested the controversial social media personality widely known as "Veryblackman" (also identified as Veryblackman of Port Harcourt or VeryDarkMan’s brother) following allegations that he threatened the life of Nigerian comedian and reality television star, DeeOne. The suspect was taken into custody on Saturday after he reportedly ignored prior invitations from law enforcement. Following his arrest in Rivers State, he was immediately transferred to Lagos on Sunday to face further questioning and investigation. The Origin of the Threat The feud between the two online figures reached a boiling point in June 2026, when Veryblackman allegedly threatened to kill DeeOne.      Justice M. G. Umar of a Federal High Court, Benin City, Edo State has adjourned the trial of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state to March 2, 2020.
Ize-Iyamu, is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, alongside Lucky Imasuen, former deputy governor of Edo State, Chief Dan Orbih, PDP chairman in Edo State; Tony Aziegbemi and Efe Erimuoghae.More photos below.
