 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court.        Zone2 Police Operatives of the Zonal Monitoring Unit, Zone 2 Police Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos has arrested a notorious Indian hemp dealer, 29 years old Mr Sanni Abiodun at Araromi Street, Offin town, Igbogbo Ikorodu, Lagos.The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu psc+ incharge of zone2 narrated to the press how the arrest was made on 10th April, 2020 adding that the suspect was apprehended with a large quantity of substances suspected to be Indian hemp following a tip-off, after which his monitoring unit led by the OC, Uba Adams who swing into action and stormed the miscreants hideout who specializes in criminal activities.According to AIG, the suspect, when interrogated, made a voluntary confessional statement to the Police of being in possession of a locally made pistol and 6 rounds of live cartridges which the group uses for their operations.He further confessed that one Babajide is their Boss who usually supplies them with the weed found in his possession.However, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered his men to further the investigation and assures effort to nab Babajide.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
