 Ogun Arraigns Olu of Obafemi for Land Grabbing ...details how monarch defied House of Assembly and traditional council summons. The Ogun State Government on Tuesday arraigned the Olu of Obafemi in Obafemi Owode Local Government, Oba Taofeek Kayode Owolabi, for land grabbing. Oba Owolabi is a coronet Oba and a member of the Egba Traditional Council and is currently under suspension. Specifically, the government, in a statement on Wednesday by the Ministry of Justice, noted that the royal father was taken to court for conspiracy to sell property without authority, sale of property without authority, unlawful use of agents, forceful takeover of land, assault of a police officer, and obtaining by false pretence. According to the statement, which affirmed the monarch's presumption of innocence, Oba Owolabi is accused of laying an unlawful claim to 500 acres of land within Obafemi Owode town and deceiving a developer, one Dr. Michael Adeyemi, into paying him ₦75 million for the land. ARREST OF A NOTORIOUS KIDNAPPER/SERIAL KILLER AND RECOVERY OF FOUR DECOMPOSED BODIES BURIED IN A SEPTIC TANK.
Operatives of the Aniti-Kidnapping Unit, in a Sting Operation yesterday 29/6/20202 at about 1330hrs, arrested a notorious kidnapper and serial killer, one Anthony Ndubuisi ‘m’ from Ngo-Okpala in Imo State but resides at Umuebulu Etche LGA.
The suspect who was arrested through intelligence led policing, on interrogation confessed to have carried out several kidnappings and killings of his unsuspecting victims, including three Foreign Nationals and a Nigerian. The recent, being the kidnapping and killing of one Ajumiene Offor who was lured from Aba to his house, for a business transaction but kidnapped and killed on 9/6/2020.
In the course of investigation, the suspect led Operatives to his house at Umuebulu, where he pointed to a Septic Tank that contained the bodies of his victims.
On exhumation, we recovered three human skulls and the decomposing body of his recent victim. They have been evacuated and taken to the mortuary for Autopsy.
Investigation is ongoing and efforts have been intensified to arrest other members of his deadly gang.
In the wake of his arrest, two Pump action guns and some Cartridges were recovered.
Addressing the Media at the scene of Exhumation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph G. Mukan psc (+) condemned the incident and promised to declare a total war against perpetrators of heinous crimes in the State, while advising the public to increase their security consciousness and report all suspicious characters and movements to the Police, via the following security Numbers:-

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
