 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room.     Top Lagos socialite and former Dangote Group Secretary, Chioma Madubuko has died at the age of 68.
She passed away on Monday, June 1, at Reddington Hospital, Lagos, after a prolonged battle with multiple sclerosis.
Chioma Madubuko resigned from the services of Dangote Company in January, 2020, where she served for about 12years.
She was an alumnus of the University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University, where she also obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Madubuko had over 35 years of experience spanning legal practice, banking, manufacturing and real estate.
Prior to joining Dangote Group, she served as secretary of NASCON Allied Industries Plc, Secretary of Lead Bank Plc, Member of International Federation of Women Lawyers, Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Member of Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria.
Madubuko is survived by three children and grandchildren.May her soul rest in peace,Amen.
