 “We Don’t Want Violent Politics In Kaduna,” Group Tells Political Parties, Urges Them to Call Supporters To Order The Kaduna Peace Ambassadors Forum has called on political parties in Kaduna State to caution their supporters and prevent further violence following recent clashes involving members of major political parties in the state. The group said Kaduna had enjoyed relative peace for a long period and should not return to an era of violent politics. In a statement, the forum expressed concern that political disagreements and clashes in the past had sometimes escalated into religious conflicts, with consequences for communities across the state. It therefore called on security agencies to take appropriate measures to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the recent clashes, while strengthening preventive measures to avoid a recurrence. LAWMA DEBUNKS CLAIMS OF UNPAID SALARY TO SWEEPERS .{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The Managing Director/CEO, Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni has debunked the claim contained in a viral video on social media alleging that some faceless street sweepers are being owed three months' salaries by the Agency.
Odumboni stated emphatically that the allegation is totally untrue and fabricated, stressing that no sweeper in the service of the State government is being owed any salary as all the LAWMA contractors had been fully paid to date.
In his words: “There is no truth whatsoever in the content of the video, it is complete falsehood and the Authority wants to make it categorically clear that the welfare of our sweepers is paramount; we will stop at nothing to ensure that they are adequately taken care of”.
He, therefore, advised members of the public to ignore the fake viral video describing it as malicious and suggestive.
The Managing Director also implored residents to call the Agency’s toll-free numbers 07080601020 and 617 for waste management complaints and inquiries.
