The Edo State House of Assembly has removed Hon. Natasha Osawaru Irobosa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from her position as Minority Leader, marking a significant shift in the chamber’s leadership structure. The announcement, made on Monday, is part of a broader restructuring triggered by recent political defections. Hon. Charity Aiguobarueghian, also of the PDP, was similarly stripped of her role as Majority Leader. Meanwhile, Hon. Yekini Idaiye, another PDP lawmaker, lost his position as Chief Whip. Despite the shake-up, PDP lawmakers Hon. Blessing Agbebaku and Hon. Maria Edeko have held onto their roles as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively—for now. KEBBI: NIS INTERCEPTS 3 ENROUTE TO LIBYA. (PHOTOS).


The Kebbi State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service, has intercepted a male Yako Jiji, 21 years from Benue state and 2 female, Rosabeth UD 24 years and Beneta Udaje 19 years from Delta state going to Libya.

While briefing newsmen handing over the victims of human tracfficking to NAPTIP, the state Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service, Rabí Bashir Nuhu, said the three victims were intercepted at Yauri border post by men of the Command.

Rabí Bashir, explains that, the two female victims are going to Libya for posible prostitution while the male for organ havest.

According to her, the service would not relent in seeing that, they arrest anyone on human trafficking and handed over to NAPTIP.
“The female while on interogation said, they were asked to do HIV and Hepatitis test”.

The Head of operation, NAPTIP, Kebbi State office, Atiku Abubakar said, the agency would investigate and arrest the papetrators for prosecution.

He said, the victims would be rehabilitated before uniting them with their families.

The victims told Radio Nigeria that, they are going to Libya to look for greener pasture on invitation of their uncles and aunties residing in Libya.

They said, their parents are awere of their traveling to Libya to look for a better future.
