  Tragedy Strikes As Promising Councillor Hon. Chukwuma Okpalauzuegbu Is Laid To Rest On Intended wedding Day  By Charity Ejiofor  A day that was meant to mark a joyful union has instead become one of deep sorrow for family, friends, and the Aguata community, following the sudden passing of Hon. Chukwuma Christopher Okpalauzuegbu, the councillor representating Amesi Ward. Hon. Okpalauzuegbu fondly known as Chuma, had been preparing to celebrate his wedding ceremony, an event filled with hope, promise and carefully laid plans. Loved ones, and sponsors, ready to stand beside him as he embark on a new chapter of life. In an unexpected and heart breaking turn of events, those dreams were cut short. PRESIDENT TINUBU MEETS OKONJO-IWEALA AT THE STATE HOUSE TODAY.(PHOTO).

President Tinubu meets Okonjo-Iweala at the State House

President Bola Tinubu met with the Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, at the Aso Villa in Abuja, today August 8.

The purpose of her visit was not made known to state house correspondents. However, it is believed that discussions on the economic and trade agenda of the new administration in Nigeria will be discussed.

In June 2023, Tinubu and Okonjo-Iweala met in France at the Global Pact Summit in Paris hosted by President Emmanuel Macron.

Okonjo-Iweala served twice as Nigeria’s Finance Minister between 2003 and 2006 as well as from 2011 to 2015, the first woman to hold the position.
