 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.  Halima Abubakar steps out for first time in two years

Actress Halima Abubakar has made a public appearance two years after her battle with an unknown ailment.
The screen goddess arrived Kogi State for the just concluded Governorship election.
Sharing photos and clips online, she expressed how honored she was to be back in her State as she noted how it was her first outing in 2 years.
Expressing gratitude to her creator, she thanked Him for showing up for her.
“It was an honor Kogi State. Nothing like home. Kogi State election. My first outing in 2 years. God showed up for me. Amb Halima Abubakar,” she wrote.
