 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  NAF Destroys illegal Oil Sites in Rivers

The Nigeria Air Force says several illegal oil refining sites at Bille, Dariama,  Elem Bekinkiri, Temakiri, Opumakiri, and Degema in Rivers State were destroyed during operations conducted between March 25 and 26.


NAF spokesperson Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, disclosed thins in a statement Today.


The Air Component of Operation Delta Safe has continued to carry out air strikes on illegal oil refining sites and barges ladened with stolen crude oil products in the Niger Delta Region.


The sites and barges destroyed were discovered between March 25 and 26, 2024, at Bille, Dariama,  Elem Bekinkiri, Temakiri, Opumakiri, and Degema in Rivers State.


Accordingly, the NAF and other security agencies will continue to intensify efforts at discovering and disrupting the activities of the oil thieves operating in the region and beyond.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
