 Nigeria’s Oluwami Dosunmu-Ogunbi Becomes the First African Woman to Earn a Ph.D. in Robotics from the University of Michigan, Paving the Way for More Diversity in STEM and Inspiring Future Generations of Engineers and Innovators. Her groundbreaking research focused on developing stair-climbing algorithms for underactuated robots, contributing to advancements in robotic mobility and control.  She has also been recognized for her mentorship and advocacy for underrepresented groups in engineering.  A true trailblazer, her achievement marks a historic milestone and sets the stage for greater inclusion in the field of robotics.

 We weren’t close but I loved your craft and wanted to reach out to you” Iyabo Ojo mourns Sisi Quadri, makes an appeal to the industry


Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has been left heartbroken over the death of her colleague, Sisi Quadri.


The death of the comic actor has no doubt taken a toll on the industry as many have been left devasted by the shocking news of his demise.


Taking to her Instagram page, Iyabo admitted that though she wasn’t close to him, she loved his craft as he was so funny and talented. She stated that she particularly appreciated his efforts for Toyin Abraham as she revealed that she wrote a movie script role for him and insisted he be cast.


Iyabo disclosed that she told her production manager a day back to reach out to him, and unfortunately, she got the news of his demise from Toyin Abraham.


Noting how life is short, she told him to rest in peace and prayed for his family to have the fortitude to bear the loss.


Iyabo used the opportunity to appeal to the industry to open a health support account for actors and crew members so people can donate to colleagues who need medical support.
