  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. TITANIC STAR 'BERNARD HILL' PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 79.(PHOTOS).#RIP.

 British actor Bernard Hill, best known for his roles in Titanic and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, has died at the age of 79. 


Hill played Captain Edward Smith in the Oscar-winning 1997 epic romance "Titanic." He also earned worldwide recognition for his portrayal of Théoden, King of Rohan, in two of the three "The Lord of the Rings" films directed by Peter Jackson.
