 US-China trade talks begin in Paris, setting stage for Trump-Xi summit  U.S. and Chinese officials began high-level trade talks in Paris on Sunday, setting the stage for President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to Beijing to meet Chinese leader Xi Jinping in about two weeks. The delegations are led by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng. While the White House has announced Trump’s visit for March 31 to April 2, Beijing has not yet confirmed the dates. Bessent emphasized that the U.S. team aims to secure outcomes that prioritize American farmers, workers, and businesses. Over the two-day talks, the delegations will focus on trade and economic issues of mutual concern. Trump’s visit will be his first to China since his first term in 2017 and follows a one-year truce in the U.S.-China trade war agreed upon last year in Busan, South Korea. Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has finally backed down on her issue with famous Nigerian cleric Apostle Johnson Suleman as she issues a heartfelt apology.


Halima Abubakar took to her Instagram page to apologize to Apostle Suleman for defaming him and causing various harm towards his ministry and family.


In what is titled a letter to Apostle Johnson Suleman, the actress acknowledged every falsehood she made against the cleric, admitted false allegations and sought his forgiveness.


She also expressed deep regrets for tarnishing his image hoping her letter could repair the damage to an extent.


The drama between Halima Abubakar and Apostle Johnson Suleman started in 2022.


Halima became bedridden following her altercation with Apostle Suleman. Her family also took to social media to call out the clergyman to stay away from her.


However, many alleged that the actress was battling an autoimmune disease. Debunking the claims, Halima shared her medical report which was shoved aside as many claimed that the report doesn’t prove anything.


A few days ago, Halima was suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria for defamation of her colleagues and other high profiled Nigerians.
