 Meta to end end-to-end encryption for Instagram direct messages Meta is ending end-to-end encryption for Instagram direct messages, a feature the company says will no longer be available after May 8, 2026. Unlike WhatsApp, Instagram never offered encryption to all users or as a default; only select users in certain regions could opt in on a per-chat basis. A Meta spokesperson explained that the decision comes due to low adoption. “Very few people were opting in to end-to-end encrypted messaging in DMs, so we’re removing this option from Instagram in the coming months,” the spokesperson said. “Anyone who wants to keep messaging with end-to-end encryption can easily do that on WhatsApp.” Meta’s messaging strategy has shifted multiple times over the years. WhatsApp chats have been encrypted since 2016, and the company began rolling out default encryption for Messenger in 2023. Honey Berry, the 3rd baby mama of controversial singer, Portable, has reacted to his latest drama with his 4th baby mama, Ashabi.


We reported on Friday that Ashabi had shared a video of herself as she described herself as a blessed, happy, determined, grateful, and peaceful woman. 


Portable, who was triggered by her post, blasted her as he stated that her love for fame made her have kids with him. He claimed that she was using her fake love to spoil his real love as he added that her leg wasn’t good.


In another new series of posts, while explaining the cause of his latest tantrums, he warned her not to talk to his wife behind his back. He noted how anytime she mingles with his wife, he and his wife end up having issues as he vowed to impregnate one of her friends


Taking to her Instagram page, Honey Berry, in a now-edited caption, shared a video of her dancing as she stated that peace of mind wants to finish her.
