 World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler. SUPER TYPHOON MAN-YI BATTERED THE PHILIPPINES' LUZON ISLAND ON SUNDAY. (PHOTO).

 Super Typhoon Man-Yi battered the Philippines' Luzon island on Sunday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds of 185 kph (115 mph) to Metro Manila. Over a million people were evacuated, with the storm triggering floods and damaging buildings in several areas.


After making landfall in Catanduanes province on Saturday night, it weakened slightly but continued to threaten coastal areas, with the storm surges a major concern for residents like Amalia Santisas, who evacuated with her children for safety.


Man-Yi is the 6th tropical cyclone to hit the Philippines in just one month.
