 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. Yesterday, the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Mrs Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu joined by some members of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO),  celebrated an exceptional officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Mr. Timothy Olusegun Adefolalu, fondly known as the "Dancing Officer," at the Lagos House, Ikeja.


Mr. Adefolalu, stationed at the Radio Junction, Oregun, Ikeja, has won the admiration of motorists and commuters with his remarkable passion, dedication, and unique ability to manage Lagos traffic with his delightful dancing steps.


His enthusiasm and commitment exemplify excellence in public service, showcasing the spirit of dedication that drives Lagos State forward.


Dr Sanwo-Olu commended his courage, hard work, and love for his job and extended her best wishes to him and his entire family for a fulfilling and prosperous 2025.
