 Lagos Police Spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin Promoted to Chief Superintendent of Police The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, has been elevated to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP). Hundeyin, who succeeded Adekunle Ajisebutu as Lagos police spokesman in 2022 while serving as a Superintendent of Police (SP), announced his promotion on Wednesday. He shared photos of his decoration by Lagos Police Commissioner Ishola Olawale, captioning the moment on X: "Behold the latest Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) in town. It is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes."  Nigeria Implements Tight Surveillance for Incoming Passengers from China Amid Surge of New Virus


The Federal Government has announced new surveillance measures for passengers arriving from China in response to the rising cases of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV), a respiratory virus that has overwhelmed hospitals in northern China, particularly affecting children. 


The government plans to quarantine travelers from China as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the virus, which is also being monitored in neighboring countries. Experts have praised the move, emphasizing the importance of continuous surveillance to safeguard public health.
