Saka has been unavailable since December after sustaining a serious hamstring tear in the victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park - an injury that eventually required surgery. But his importance to Mikel Arteta's team remains unquestioned with the club preparing to meet the player's representatives over a contract extension.Arsenal want to avoid any uncertainty regarding their star player's future and will make securing Saka to a longer contract one of their top priorities.  Dubai Police arrests 33 Beggars in the First Ten Days of Ramadan.

The Suspects and Criminal Phenomena Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, in cooperation with Dubai Police stations, apprehended 33 beggars of various nationalities during the first ten days of Ramadan.

This effort is part of the Combat Begging campaign launched by Dubai Police under the slogan "A Conscious Society, Free of Beggars"

The campaign is conducted in cooperation with strategic partners, including the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Municipality, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, and the Al Ameen Service.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about preserving the country's civilised image by combating and preventing begging.

Colonel Ahmed Al Odaidi, Deputy Director of the Suspects and Criminal Phenomena Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, emphasized that the Anti-Begging Campaign is one of the department's successful initiatives, launched in cooperation with partners. ā€œThis campaign has effectively reduced the number of beggars each year, thanks to strict measures taken against those apprehended. In the first ten days of the holy month, the campaign resulted in the arrest of 33 beggars from various nationalities,ā€ he noted.

Al Odaidi also indicated that Dubai Police develop a comprehensive security plan annually to combat begging, which includes increasing patrols in areas where beggars are likely to be present.

He further stated that the Dubai Police, in their ongoing commitment to combat all negative phenomena affecting the community, annually monitors the fraudulent methods used by beggars in order to develop plans and programs to prevent these activities. "This ultimately leads to the apprehension of those involved, thereby protecting the community," Al Odaidi continued. He also emphasized the lengths to which beggars will go to exploit the public's compassion, especially during significant times like the holy month. He urged the community to be cautious of their manipulations, which can take various forms, including the exploitation of children, patients, and people of determination in begging to elicit sympathy. "Several cases have been reported of women begging while accompanied by children," Al Odaidi added.

He pointed out that the campaign targets all forms of begging, whether traditionalā€”found in prayer gatherings, community meetings, and marketsā€”or non-traditional, such as online begging and soliciting donations for building mosques abroad or claiming to need help for humanitarian reasons.

Al Odaidi confirmed that the campaign aims to achieve several key objectives, including maintaining the community's dignified image and protecting it from crimes related to both traditional and electronic begging. "Official entities and charitable organisations are available for those needing financial assistance or services like "Iftar for the Fasting," he noted.

Moreover, Al Odaidi advised against responding to beggars' pleas or interacting with them out of pity, encouraging the public to report beggars immediately via the contact center (901) or the 'Police Eye' service on the Dubai Police smart app, as well as to report cases of electronic begging through the 'E-crime' online platform.
