 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. To ease parking challenges, designated car parks have been arranged for public use, these include; the Yoruba Lawn Tennis Club Car Park, Zone 2 Car Park (opposite Island Club along King George V Road), Museum Kit...

FMACT&CE ENGAGES NNAMDI AZIKWE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TAXI OPERATORS......SEEKS COLLABORATION ON QUALITY SERVICE DELIVERY. 


The Federal Ministry of Arts Culture Tourism and Creative Economy have charged the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Taxi Operators on Quality Service Delivery in other to create memorable good image and impression for the tourists visiting the country 


The charge was made by  the Director Tourism Support Service ,(TSS) Mr Ayodele Adebanjo during a one day interactive session with the Airport Taxi Operators at the Airport park bay, Abuja. 


According to Adebanjo "The meeting is to engage with you with an insight to develop a better understanding of the valuable contributions you play in the Tourism-transport sector of the economy ".


Mr Ayodele Adebanjo further stated that the Hon Minister Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa was of the view on the need to engage with Taxi Operators in order to have a first hand Information on the challenges the Operators face and to seek their cooperation and understanding in providing excellent service delivery to the visiting tourists and passengers alike. 


Guest speaker at the event was a Retired Director Department of Domestic Tourism Queen Patricia Narai she admonished the Taxi Operators to be good ambassadors of the County because their attitude does not only represent who they are but the image of country. 


The Second Guest Speaker, the Director National Travel Bureau charged the Taxi Operators on the need to be safety conscious and shun unwholesome attitudes while projecting  good image to attract more tourists which will boost economic growth for the country. 


Mr Abdulrazak Aliu who spoke on behalf of the 27 different Taxi Companies operating in the Airport thanked the Ministry for the timely public enlightenment .


The Taxi Operators highlighted the lack of Rest Room within the park bay, lack of conference hall and acces to car loan facilities are some of their major challenges. They urged the Ministry to collaborate with Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to address these challenges.
