 Anambra LG Commissioner Warns Against Politicising Town Union Offices, Urges Focus on Development ‎By Chisom Okpala ‎ ‎The Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Barr. Vin Ezeaka, has cautioned individuals who perceive the positions of President-General and Town Union Executive as political offices to desist from such notions. He advised that these institutions should remain dedicated to community development and the collective interests of the people. ‎ ‎Barr. Ezeaka made this admonition on Friday, June 5, while receiving the Ugbenu Town Union Executive in his office at the Old Government House, Awka. A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Thursday disclosed why he vowed to destroy the Labour Party, LP, Obidient Movement.

Omokri said he took the decision because Peter Obi was his project.

Speaking with News Central, the staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu said he suggested Obi’s name as running mate in the 2019 election.

Omokri disclosed that members of the Obidient Movement attacked him, his wife and his child.

He explained that after Obi failed to take action following his complaint, he decided to use “whatever political machinery I have to destroy that movement“.

“I took a vow to destroy that movement because Peter Obi was a project of mine. I was responsible for Peter Obi becoming the running mate to Waziri Atiku Abubakar in 2019. I’ve said this publicly. I’ve got the documents. I’m a meticulous record keeper.

“Peter Obi’s movement, Obidients, started attacking me, threatening me, insulting me. That was OK. But then they moved from myself to my family. I just had a daughter at that time. There were multiple death threats.

“They came to my house in the United Kingdom. They trailed my wife and me when we were jogging. They found out my jogging route and pursued me, threatening me,” he stated.
