During Monday’s episode of the Today show, Rebecca, 60, revealed that she has been living with Parkinson’s since receiving her diagnosis in 2015, though the first warning signs appeared years earlier. Looking back, she said it all began around 2012 with a slight numbness in her left foot. SENATE ORDERS INEC TO CONDUCT BY-ELECTIONS IN EDO CENTRAL AND ANAMBRA SOUTH. (PHOTO).

The Senate has directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct by-elections to fill the vacant seats in Edo Central and Anambra South Senatorial Districts.


Senate President Godswill Akpabio made the announcement during plenary on Tuesday, officially declaring the vacancies.


The Edo Central seat has been vacant since December 2024, when Monday Okpebholo was inaugurated as Governor of Edo State. Similarly, the Anambra South seat has remained unoccupied since the passing of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah in July 2024.


INEC had earlier stated that it was awaiting a formal request from the Senate before proceeding with a by-election for Anambra South.


With both senatorial districts currently unrepresented in the upper legislative chamber, Akpabio urged INEC to conduct the elections to restore representation for the affected constituencies.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
