Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble.  Obidient Movement In Kaduna Plunged Into Crisis Over Leadership Imposition

A rift has reportedly emerged within the Kaduna Obidient movement, an organic group largely responsible for Peter Obi's 2023 presidential aspiration, sparking concerns about the movement's unity and cohesion ahead of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Sources close to the movement’s leadership alleged that the crisis stems from what they described as the imposition of leaders from the national level, which has led to discontent among some members.

According to insiders, certain individuals from a single political camp in Kaduna State have been appointed to key positions without adequate consultation with other stakeholders, leading to accusations of nepotism and marginalization.

They said the development has raised serious questions about the movement’s commitment to democracy, inclusivity, and representation.

According to them, complaints have been made to the appropriate quarters, and the expectation is that the right steps will be taken as soon as possible. They added that the crisis may affect Mr. Peter Obi’s electoral prospects if not addressed promptly.
